Sailing for people with disabilities

DRSC is affiliated to RYA Sailability and has a Sailability fleet.

We own several boats which are suitable by use by people with physical disabilities, either accompanied or alone. We have a personnel hoist for access in and out of the boat.

We have an instructor who is qualified through RYA to provide training to people with disabilities.

We do not have a wheelchair accessible wc and changing room, but hope to provide this in the near future.

We are very happy to hear from anyone with a disability who would like to try sailing. Please contact our Sailability fleet captain Andrew Jeffrey (see below ).
