Hi Folks
Just a few things to start you thinking about sailing again – hasn’t it come round quickly!
First and most importantly – have you renewed your membership? The discount price only applies until 29th February 2008 (4 days away) so you better get moving! I have put a copy of the Renewal Form for you to print on the website just incase you have mislaid yours. It can be found on the Membership page by clicking on “Membership Renewal Form”.
Secondly, the reservoir is full to the brim – see picy. Fantastic! Hope you are all looking forward to getting afloat for a great 2008 – taking advantage of the short walk to the water.
The Club opens for sailing on 15/16 March but before that we need to do some general tidying inside and out.
WORKING PARTY 1/2 March 2008
Anyone who can help with any of the jobs listed below should meet at the club house at 12 noon on Saturday 1st and/or Sunday 2nd March. This is your chance to to do your bit volunteering - even if its just for a couple of hours. New faces would be very welcome! Just in case 200 people turn up, perhaps you could either drop Roger Mole an e-mail or phone to let him know you will be coming. Thanks.

Clearing drains and gutters around Car Park
Removing debris from winter storms from Car Park and Dinghy Park
Cleaning out beer cellar (no drinking involved!)
Washing of walls etc in club house to prepare for painting
Painting walls – galley, ladies and mens changing rooms/toilet area
FITTING OUT SUPPER

After a day of sorting out your boat, you don’t have to think about what you have got to do for tea, Susan will feed you! £5 a ticket, worth every penny, and then perhaps a drink or 2 and you’re ready for racing on Sunday – or cruising – whichever takes your fancy! Anyone who interested in becoming a Club Race Officer, then there’s a course at the
Royal Northumberland YC, South Harbour, Blyth. This course is free to members of affiliated clubs. A light lunch will be provided.
