WELL DONE JAKE
Jake Hanson was presented with the Tynedale Youth Leader of the Year Award at the annual ceremony held in Hexham in December. The nomination was for his contribution towards obtaining the Feva dinghies, helping maintain them, training others to sail a Feva and also becoming a fully qualified RYA Dinghy Sailing Instructor as soon as he could at age 16. He now has a very large trophy to keep polished and a certificate.
OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS OF DRSC JUNIOR SAILORS
Helen Armstrong is now on the RYA National Squad for Radials, Noah Knapton is on the National Transitional Squad for Toppers.
Joe Henderson, William Tarn-Chapman, Joseph Trotter, Ian Wright are all on the North Topper Zone Squad. Many others getting organised for the start of the season.
Simon Weatherspoon has been invited to join the National 4.2 Topper Squad.
BAT AND BIRD BOXES - DRSC
Bat and bird boxes will soon be placed around the DRSC site; purchased from funding via the Volvo Eco Green Challenge.
