Junior Race Coaching
Please read all the information below. We have revised a number of processes due to the current COVID restrictions.
COVID-19 Safety
Please ensure you have read the club's information on COVID safety. Particularly do not come to the club if you or your family/household have any symptoms and pay attention to regular hand sanitisation especially after touching commonly touched points at the club.
The changing rooms remain closed. The toilets are open.
Please try to ensure we maintain 2m distancing between households while rigging and launching. Keep boats in groups of 3 or less when rigging to allow for 6 people in a group. Maintain social distancing outside your own household.
Launching & Recovery: as far as possible - keep within household groups. Limit the number of people launching at once to avoid groups of more than 6 people
Spectators are not allowed. Parents remaining to provide shore side safety cover, awaiting return of their child ashore must not gather with other parents. While normally we would expect parents to remain on-site, we are happy for you to participate in other sport at or near the club (sailing [obviously], waking, running, cycling) provided we know how to contact with you if there is a problem. We would expect to come ashore by 4pm, with a view to being packed up and ready to go home around 4:30pm.
Slipway Bookings
As part of the club's COVID Secure approach we are trying to minimise congestion on the slipways. For sailing at normal times - please ensure you book a slipway launching time. However - if you are only launching for the junior session - booking this session will also give you slipway access. Please still check-in (and out) via the kiosk in the lobby or the website on your phone.
