Junior Race Coaching

The weather looks good this weekend to have an opportunity to try out a little coached racing in a safe and controlled environment.

Participants must be able to sail to windward single handed (i.e. tack and make progress towards the wind).

Some club boats will be available, but we can accommodate more sailors if sailors have their own boats (reminder: they must be insured for third party damage).

Plan: Meet 13:30, dressed ready to go on the water (wetsuits etc). Rig at 13:30 / Brief. Meet on the grass outside the club-house Sailors should be rigging their own boats - but parental assistance particularly with things like stepping masts would be greatly appreciated. Parental assistance with launching and recovering boats is essential. We may also need volunteers on RIBs as second pairs of hands.

The aim would be to come ashore before 5pm to debrief.

Reminder: If club boats are being used these will need de-rigged and put away.
