    Club opens this weekend: Spring has arrived!

    The club opens for sailing on Saturday March 23rd with the first race at 11am Sunday March 24th. Racing will have 2 fleets , Fast and slow handicap. PY>1098 will start first in fast handicap. Lets all get out there and sail!

    Come join us for a swashbuckling Pirates party at our Junior Commodores Reception!
    Sunday May 26th 4-6pm
    Pirate themed games, dancing, come dressed as a Pirate (optional) and lots more!

    Fantastic work party

    We have had a great turnout and some real graft for the first work party. Thank you to everyone who helped out. Lots of areas of the club look much tidier and refreshed. The club opens on Saturday 23rd March with first racing on Sunday 24th March so looking forward to seeing everyone back out on the water.

    Tractor Training March 9th and 16th

    If you are involved in running training or events, do you need to learn to launch the ribs using the club tractor safely? Anyone hoping to use the club tractor should attend the tractor training sessions. These will be going on during the work parties. Come along, spend some time at the work parties and get your tractor training on the same day.

    Workparties Saturday March 9th and March 16th

    Your club needs you! Come and bring you skills to help prepare the club for the new season. Lots of ground work and painting jobs to be done. Any time you can spare will be appreciated. Great way to meet and work alongside other members. Free soup and roll to sustain you.     British Universties Northern Qualifier

    A sparkling snow scene welcomed Northern Universities for their team racing qualifier. Hoping for a place in the National finals. The weather forecast had not put them off and a gentle breeze presented perfect conditions for the closely battled races. The top 4 teams will go through but on 2/3March, universities from throughout the UK will be coming back to DRSC for the playoffs. It is well worth coming down to watch high quality team

    Commodore's Reception arranged for Sat 11th May 2019. This links with Great British Sailing Event being held at DRSC that weekend. Live band "Rusty Haloz" booked (played at Halloween Party and absolutely fab). An evening not to be missed . Book your ticket via the Calendar section of the website!!

    Weekend racing cancelled for Angel of the North

    Racing is cancelled this weekend to support our University of Durham and Newcastle teams who are hosting a 12 team event. Buddy sailing will be permitted on Saturday and Sunday but there will be no dedicated rescue cover and the slipways and water will be very busy There will be a running commentary for the team racing event to explain what is happening in the matches. Come along and support our resident teams.
