In Memoriam Howard Stevenson

Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club is saddened to inform its members of the recent passing of Howard Stevenson.

Howard was a huge character, and his family have been a much loved and important part of sailing in the North East for many years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Howard's funeral arrangements are as follows:

Friday 28th August 2026
11.15am
Tynemouth Crematorium
Walton Avenue, North Shields
NE29 9NJ

The service will be followed by a gathering at:

Spanish City
Spanish City Plaza
Whitley Bay
Tyne and Wear
NE26 1BG

Parking facilities are available at both venues.

All are welcome to attend and pay their respects.

Our thoughts are with Howard's family and friends at this very sad time.
