Pies, Peas and upcoming events

Friday 2nd June saw the Meet the Members Pie and Pea supper event take place at the clubhouse. Members new and old tucked into their dinner, followed up with a raffle, a coin rolling competition and a quiz written and ably delivered by quizmaster Thomas despite the best efforts of the kids. Between the raffle and the coin rolling we raised over £100 towards replacing the chairs in the Galley with a little more into the coffers from the bar takings. Huge thanks to Susan for organising, to Thomas for the quiz, Michelle for our dinner, and to everyone who assisted, brought raffle prizes or took part. It was great to see faces new and old.

In the coming weeks there are a few more opportunities to socialise and get involved. On 20th and 21st June we have the Regional Junior Championships at the club. Even if you are not competing, or even a junior, members and their guests are more than welcome to join in with the evening entertainment. On the Friday night we have Matt on guitar in the Clubhouse followed by the Miggins Fiddle Ceilidh band on Saturday.
