Submit Club Racing Results

Race Officer, please submit results online using either the:

WEB APP (best for mobile phones)

OR

GOOGLE SHEETS (best for desktop or laptop)

The app needs an internet connection, so record results on the water using pen and paper.

ASAP after coming ashore, use a phone, tablet, or computer with an internet connection to enter the results.

1. Clear the Entry sheet to make it ready for new race data
   • Press Clear Entry Sheet (Reset to Blank)
   • You can use this button again if you mess up and want to start again
2. Fill in the:
   • Race Date - pick today's date
   • Race Officer Name - your name (only goes to results coordinator)
   • Contact Phone/Email - for results queries (only goes to results coordinator)
3. Enter boats
   • Enter the sail number in the big yellow box
   • Details of the boat are retrieved in the background from the sign-on list
   • If the sail number is not signed on, you will be asked to enter the details for the boat
4. Enter times and laps (or codes) for each race
   • Enter times as mm.ss (example: 32.45 = 32 minutes 45 seconds)
   • Enter the number of laps completed, or a code (OCS, DSQ, etc.)
5. Save the boat
   • Press the green "Save / Update Result" button
   • You'll see a green "Saved [sail number]" message
   • The list at the bottom updates as you enter boats
   • Continue entering boats
6. Need to fix a mistake, or want to enter results race-by-race?
   • Just re-enter a previously saved sail number and then add or correct race results
   • It will overwrite the previous entry for that boat
7. Check everything
   • Scroll down and check the list of sail numbers, times, and laps
   • Click the link: "View provisional results"
   • Check the provisional results carefully. Make sure times, laps, codes and rankings look correct
   • Make any required corrections using the app (not the spreadsheet - it's read only)
8. Final submit
   • Press the big blue button: SUBMIT AND PUBLISH RESULTS
   • The app will:
     • Create a PDF of provisional results and publish it to the website
     • Send results to Alastair so series standings can be updated
     • Clear the Entry sheet back to blank for the next user
   • You'll get a "Success!" message when done

Tips

• No internet? Wait until you have signal
• RO and ARO boats: To claim series points when you do a duty, use the OOD code for your boat
