Use of Club Boats by Members
Club boats are made available to members with sufficient experience in accordance with the Club Rules in force from time-to-time. As of June 2026 these may be found at: https://www.drsc.co.uk/page/club-rules
Council has currently set the daily charge for use of a Club sailing dinghy at £10 for anyone 18 years of age and older; free for those who are younger than 18. Boat availability may be restricted some weekends due to boats being used for training and coaching.
Boats can only be used when there is no 'RED FLAG' and in wind strengths which are predicted to be less than 15 mph during the session.
The Club Manager is a point of contact when using a Club boat. On completion, all equipment must be returned to its original location, any faults in the boat at the end of the session must be reported to the Club Manager, who will advise training@drsc.co.uk. The reporting of defects is particularly important since it can impinge upon availability for others.
Failure to do this may result in permission for the user to use the boats being rescinded.
