Use of Club Boats by Members

Club boats are available for use by members provided they adhere to the following :

When a member wishes to use a club boat, he/she must make an advance arrangement with the Training Principle Ann Penny

The first time they wish to use a boat his/her ability will be assessed by the Training Principle.

Club boats are made available for members to improve their skills and are not intended for regular long term use. Members are expected, after a reasonable time, to make their own arrangements, either by buying their own boat or by crewing for someone else

Boat availability may be restricted on Saturdays due to their use for training and coaching.

Boats can only be used when there is no 'RED FLAG' and in wind strengths are predicted to be less than 15 mph during the session. This assessment to be made within 48 hours of the sailing time.

Before use, the book located in the front entrance lobby should be filled in with name of helm (and crew if applicable). On completion, all equipment must be returned to its original location, any faults in the boat at the end of the session recorded in the book and reported to the club Bo'sun, and the book signed. Failure to do this may result in the facility to use the boats being rescinded.

During Covid Restrictions bookings must be made via email!
