Use of Club Boats by Members

917923 orig

Club boats are made available for members, who are at least Level 2 or Stage 2 standard, to improve their skills and are not intended for regular long term use. Members are expected, after a reasonable time, to make their own arrangements, either by buying their own boat or by crewing for someone else.

Boat availability may be restricted some weekends due to boats being used for training and coaching.

Boats can only be used when there is no 'RED FLAG' and in wind strengths which are predicted to be less than 15 mph during the session.

The Club Development Officer is a point of contact when using a Club boat. On completion, all equipment must be returned to its original location, any faults in the boat at the end of the session must be reported to the Club Development Officer, who will advise training@drsc.co.uk. The reporting of defects is particularly important since it can impinge upon availability for others.

Failure to do this may result in permission for the user to use the boats being rescinded.
