Use of Club Boats by Members

Club boats are made available for members to improve their skills and are not intended for regular long term use. Members are expected, after a reasonable time, to make their own arrangements, either by buying their own boat or by crewing for someone else.

Boat availability may be restricted on Saturdays due to their use for training and coaching.

Boats can only be used when there is no 'RED FLAG' and in wind strengths are predicted to be less than 15 mph during the session. This assessment to be made within 48 hours of the sailing time.

Before use, the book located in the front entrance lobby should be filled in with name of helm (and crew if applicable). On completion, all equipment must be returned to its original location, any faults in the boat at the end of the session recorded in the book and reported to the club Bo'sun or Ann Penny via, and the book signed. The reporting of defects is particularly important since it can impinge upon availablity for others.

Failure to do this may result in permission for the user to use the boats being rescinded.
