Open Water Swimming at Derwent Reservoir
This activity is operated as part of the Sailing Club, and run by volunteers. All proceeds are used to pay for the running costs (insurance, safety equipment etc.) or reinvested in the club.
Swims are Wednesday 6pm - 8pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am - noon when the water temperature is above 10 degrees.
You must EITHER wear a Wetsuit OR, if you're swimming in just your cossie, you must use a tow float. A bright swim hat is compulsory for everyone.
£5 per swim or join as a swimming member for £80 per year. Full club membershipentitles you also to sail, windsurf, paddleboard, Kayak or canoe.
The swims rely on volunteers for registration, tallying swimmers in and out of the water and safety kayaking. Please help if you can, there's a free swim in it for you.
